888poker is increasing its environmental responsibility! They’ve teamed up with Ecosec, a business recognized for its environmentally responsible security pouches, to eliminate the customary plastic sacks used for poker chips.
These novel compostable sacks will premiere at the 888poker Live Barcelona gathering occurring May 12-23. And the initiative doesn’t cease there – 888 intends to utilize these sacks for all their forthcoming live poker gatherings.
This transition from single-use plastic sacks to Ecosec’s compostable choice is a significant action for diminishing plastic waste in the poker realm. 888 projects that just this initial set of sacks will eradicate over 285 pounds of plastic!
Shai Tabibian, 888’s B2C head, is enthusiastic about the collaboration, stating it’s a mutually beneficial arrangement for both firms and a substantial stride towards 888’s objective of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030.
