Element Partners Acquires World Poker Tour from Allied Esports

Element Partners has acquired the World Poker Tour (WPT) from Allied Esports. A cornerstone of the poker community, the WPT has aired in more than 150 nations and is presently shooting its 18th season, set to be broadcast on Fox Sports Regional Networks in the United States.

Ratified at an extraordinary gathering of Allied Esports shareholders on July 1, 2021, the sale marks another milestone in the tour’s journey as a premier poker entity. The acquisition price was $105 million, granting Element Partners full control of all legal entities affiliated with the WPT, encompassing its associated enterprises and holdings.

Allied Esports stressed that, post-transaction, its structure will comprise its esports division, Allied Esports, and the monetary proceeds from the sale.

“We extend our best wishes to Adam Pliska and the entire World Poker Tour team as they embark on a prosperous new phase.”
