These compostable sacks will premiere at the 888poker Live Barcelona event in May. This transition replaces the previous disposable plastic carriers with a more earth-friendly choice, assisting 888poker in minimizing their ecological footprint. They aspire to be at the forefront of transforming poker into a more environmentally aware pastime, and this is a commendable initial move! This alteration is projected to prevent over 300 pounds of plastic refuse, advancing 888’s objective of achieving carbon neutrality by 2030.
Ecosecs top dog, Karim Lewis, had an epiphany after attending numerous poker gatherings. He noticed the essential role those small chip packets played in maintaining order and thought, “Eureka! My organization could definitely contribute to making the poker scene more environmentally friendly!”
