The Czech Republic-based iGaming firm has received approval to conduct business in Ontario, marking a major victory for the business-to-business supplier. This authorization enables the company to provide its offerings and technical expertise to gaming entities within the province.
The issuance of the license, which encompasses the company’s player account management system (PAM) in addition to its internet-based casino and wagering product suite, was overseen by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).
This development comes at an opportune moment for the company, as Ontario is poised to unveil its regulated iGaming sector on April 4th, culminating a two-year legislative process.
“The acquisition of this license represents another significant accomplishment for our organization,” remarked Chris Looney, Chief Commercial Officer. “Following closely on the heels of our recent product launches in the UK, which maintains comparable regulatory standards to Ontario, and the Netherlands, where we successfully introduced our local partner brand utilizing our PAM, content, and aggregation solutions, we are now strategically positioned to provide comprehensive support to our Canadian associates as the market commences operations.”
This license empowers the company to engage in collaborative endeavors with business-to-consumer operators throughout the province. To date, prominent entities such as Rivalry Corporation, PointsBet, theScore Bet (a subsidiary of Penn National Gaming), and 888 Holdings have secured operating licenses in Ontario.
Industry projections indicate that Ontario is poised to emerge as one of the most substantial iGaming markets within North America upon its full-fledged launch.
Rooney remarked, “Our roots are in Ontario,” regarding the region’s choice to launch its controlled internet gambling sector. “This presents a substantial chance for Bragg to display our technology and content platform. We are thrilled to participate in this expanding market.”
He added, “Obtaining our supplier permit in Ontario will enable us to advance considerably as we get ready to penetrate this promising market. We are observing significant enthusiasm from regional, American, and global operators encompassing both physical and digital gaming activities.”
