## Wagering Powerhouse Names New Chief Executive
BetStars, the internet sports wagering division of The Stars Group, has revealed the selection of Andrew Lee as its new Managing Director, succeeding Zeno Ossko.
Stationed in the Isle of Man at Stars Interactive Group’s main office, Lee will oversee the strategic course, expansion, and overall achievements of the BetStars brand.
A seasoned expert in the digital gaming realm, Lee contributes a wealth of knowledge to the position. He formerly held the role of Managing Director at William Hill Online from October 2012 to January 2016, a time of substantial development for the organization. Before that, he served as Interim Head of Mobile at William Hill Online.
Prior to joining BetStars, Lee was President of WorldRemit, an international online funds transfer service, from July 2016 to May 2017.
Lee formally stepped into his new position on January 29th, taking the reins from Ossko who had occupied the role since September 2016.
Rafi Ashkenazi, CEO of The Stars Group, conveyed his assurance in Lee’s capability to guide the company’s ambitious goals for sports wagering: “Andy is a seasoned executive with a demonstrated history of establishing industry-leading online and mobile sports betting enterprises. We are confident he is well-suited to assist us in realizing our objective of making our sports betting division our second largest customer acquisition channel, following our primary poker business, expanding its presence within our current European markets and readying it for future geographical expansion.”
With Zeno at the helm, BetStars has transformed into a dominant force within the European sports wagering landscape. We’ve witnessed remarkable expansion in our customer base, and these users are demonstrating heightened activity and engagement levels.”
Lee continued, “I’m enthusiastic about capitalizing on this positive trajectory. We plan to continuously enhance our platform, investigate emerging prospects, and solidify our position as an international frontrunner in the dynamic realm of sports betting.”
