The month’s total was forty-three point one million dollars, down from fifty-four point eight million dollars in September of twenty-twenty-one, but more than the twenty-one point two million dollars consumers spent in August.
Despite the decrease in spending, revenue was steady compared to the same time frame in the previous year at eight point eight million dollars, a figure that was also two hundred twenty-five point nine percent higher than August’s two point seven million dollars.
Coastal casinos remained the most popular sports betting locations in Mississippi, with players betting a total of twenty-eight point one million dollars and casinos earning five point five million dollars in revenue.
Central casinos had a total of eight point two million dollars and revenue of one point eight million dollars, while northern casinos saw a total of six point nine million dollars in spending and one point six million dollars in revenue.
Football surpassed baseball as the top sport for players, with coastal casinos taking in sixteen point five million dollars in bets, central casinos three point one million dollars and northern casinos four point four million dollars.
The month’s hold percentage was twenty point four percent, higher than the sixteen point one percent in September of last year.
